Finding trans in Miami is a breeze. The city’s got lots of places where everyone fits right in.
From lively clubs to chill bars and community events, there are plenty of spots to meet transgenders and tranvestite.
So whether you’re a trans person yourself or cisgender trying to connect with the community – you’re at the right place.
In this article, we’ll cover both online and offline ways to find trans people in Miami. I also shed some light on life as a TG here. So let’s get right into it!

List of TG Friendly Venues in Miami
1. Bars and Clubs
Miami is loaded with nightclubs and bars, especially near the beachside areas.
You’ll find trans people in most of these places. But the following spots are generally more popular among LGBT+ folks.
Azucar Night Club – This small lively club charges a $10 cover fee and the drinks don’t break the bank.
Once the drag shows end, the dance floor opens up, which is the perfect time to socialize with trans folks.
Twist Club – Fun place, though weekdays tend to be quiet. Bartender Jason ensures good company, and the atmosphere livens up with more queer folks joining in after 9 pm.
Nathan’s Beach Club – I lovetheir karaoke nights on Tuesdays. Weekends draw a packed crowd, mostly gay men. Yet, it’s not unusual to spot a few TGs blending into the lively atmosphere.
Palace Bar – I want to start by saying that the drag brunches here are fantastic. There were also many trans men and women in the crowd.
As Jason shows in the video, the atmosphere is incredibly energetic and fun…but that’s also a downside for some as having conversations can be hard.
2. Community Centers and Organizations
Miami has some great places to mingle with trans folks, starting from the LGBT Visitor Center.
They serve as an information hub for the community. You can often find trans folks here inquiring about events and resources in the city.
There is also another community center called Pridelines, which provides support to LGBTQ+ youth.
And if you’re looking for trans-centered organizations then Trans Social is one of your options.
They host support groups and social gatherings such as their Taco Tuesday and TransConnect meetups for trans and GNC folks every month.
Aqua Foundation for Women is another organization that provides support to LGBTQ+ women. They host social get-togethers that are great for connecting with MtF trans.
3. Trans Friendly Dating Sites
Finding trans connections in Miami is easier than you might think. Sure, you can spot trans men and women on popular apps like Tinder – it’s not rocket science.
But, they might be a bit reserved there. Based on my experience, OkCupid is a winner.
People on OkCupid are more open about being trans, and the site lets you filter them out easily.
Just keep in mind that most trans folks on the site are either looking to date or make new friends.
If you’re a cis man whose sole purpose is hooking up then you’ll get blocked for being a chaser.
So if you’re really after casual stuff, then go on a site like TSDates which focuses more on T4M dating.
4. Online Groups and Pages
I feel Miami is lacking in terms of online groups for trans folks. The only option I found was the Trans Miami Support Group.
It’s linked to the trans support group that used to be hosted every Tuesday at the Borinquen Medical Center.
But as far as I know, they do not host the meetups anymore, or at least not as frequently.
Other than that, you only have Miami Gay Events and LGBTQ Canes. Both are public groups so I can’t really vouch for their quality.
However, sometimes members do post updates about upcoming LGBT+ events so they’re worth keeping an eye on.
5. Other LGBT+ Spaces
If you’re looking for more casual LGBT friendly spots then I really like Villain Theater.
It’s a comedy club that’s popular among a queer crowd and in general, just a fantastic place if you’re looking for a night full of laughter.
And for those who are into fitness should also check out Move Lift Love.
It’s a trans friendly gym and the coaches are also very experienced and friendly.
What It’s Like to Be Transgender in Miami
Living in Miami socially is pretty good. There’s a vibrant LGBTQ scene with events, drag shows, and pride festivals.
The city has a non-discrimination policy for hiring, and most people are accepting.
However, the legal aspects can be challenging. Changing your name is more difficult in Florida compared to Western states.
Additionally, healthcare, especially trans-specific care, can be lacking, even in trans-health clinics.
The LGBTQ scene is established with specific events for lesbians and trans individuals.
However, there are caveats. Miami still has some transphobic and hom*ophobic individuals, and incidents of violence, though rare, occur.
Caution is needed, particularly with some older members of the gay community who can surprisingly be transphobic.

Meeting trans folks in Miami is a bit like a mixed bag of surprises.
Some areas, like CoGro, Coral Gables, Brickell, Downtown, Edgewater, and much of Miami Beach, are cool with plenty of TG-friendly spots.
But overall, the city stands as a decent space where, with the right approach and awareness, you can easily meet trans men and women.
